Working together

A visible path from problem to handover.

You should know what is being built, what it will cost and how to judge the result.

Four steps to a working result.

1. Walk through the task

Use a redacted example to understand the inputs, steps, exceptions and people involved. Establish a baseline if time savings are a goal.

2. Agree the scope

Write down the deliverable, acceptance examples, exclusions, access requirements, payment milestones and responsibilities.

3. Build and review

Implement the workflow and review working progress together. Confirm any changes to scope before additional work begins.

4. Test and hand over

Check the agreed cases, permissions and failure handling. Hand over deployment information and operating notes, with any ongoing support agreed separately.
